Sri Tika Ram Kanya Mahavidyalaya is a premier and prestigious, the only Govt. aided Girls' College in district Aligarh. It was established on 1st July, 1936 by a visionary philanthropist Late Lala Sri Tika Ram with the investment of Rs. 50,000/- in the form of a Kanya Pathshala and evolved into Tika Ram Kanya Inter College in 1944. In 1957, it was accredited by Higher Education as Sri Tikaram Kanya Mahavidyalaya and became a renowned centre of academic excellence.

B.Sc. (Chemistry, Zoology and Botany) and B.Ed. commenced in 1963 and 1971 respectively. At present, the college runs Post-Graduate courses on regular basis in Drawing & Painting and Music (Tabla), and Self-Finance courses (P.G.) in Hindi, English, Education, Home Science and Commerce. Besides these, other courses in Self-Finance are B.A. in Geography, B.Com, B.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, B.B.A. and B.C.A. The college has well-equipped Laboratories, Library, Computer centre, Centre for Vocational courses, Gymnasium, facilities for indoor and outdoor games, well maintained court and grounds,Hostel, Residential Complex and Students’ ‘Suvidha Kendra’at the campus.
